GEUS Billing
Payment for GEUS services can also be made by mail through the City of Greenville Utility Department envelope supplied with your utility bill or at two convenient drive-thru customer service locations.
Payment for billed electric service is due upon receipt. Your bill is past due 15 days from the billing date. If a payment is received after 5 p.m. on the 15th day, a 5% late penalty is charged. Payments can be made online, by mail in the envelope provided, at the GEUS service center on Hwy. 69, or at the Municipal Building on Washington Street. You can use your Mastercard, VISA, Discover, or other Novus credit card for utility payments. Online bill payment also allows you to set up an automatic bank draft to pay your bill. There is no extra charge for credit card or bank draft payment.
Budget Billing/Equal Payment Plan Enrollment in the Equal Payment Plan during September through April avoids seasonal differences in the size of your electric bill. Average electric usage for the previous 12 months is used to determine a monthly budget bill payment. During the months when payments are higher than actual usage, the excess is held in your account. In months when electricity consumption exceeds the amount of the budget bill payment, money is taken from the holding account and applied to the bill. On the anniversary date of your budget bill plan, you will be billed for any amount still owed or your account will be credited with remaining funds. Printable Equal Payment Plan Authorization Form:
