The Business Services Department is responsible for the overall fiscal activities and daily financial operations of GEUS. The department includes Accounting, Billing, Cashiering, Purchasing, and the Warehouse.
Accounting activities include accounts payable, accounts receivable, budget development, cash and debt management, as well as providing appropriate financial information for the evaluation and planning of the utility’s activities.
The Billing division records usage and creates bills for Electric and Fusion customers of GEUS. The billing department also issues bills for water, sanitary sewer, and solid waste customers of the City of Greenville. These bills are combined in an effort to provide convenience for the Citizens of Greenville, TX.
The Cashiering division collects and records the receipts resulting from the bills issued by the Billing division.
Purchasing activities include providing cost-effective, fair procurement of goods and services at the best value for GEUS.
The Warehouse activities include storing and distributing materials and supplies used by various departments.
